The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has approved the FY 2027-2031 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program which outlines projects planned over the next five fiscal years.
Some of the projects planned for the Lakes Region feature projects on major routes including U.S. Highway 65 and 160 as well as State Highways 13, 76, and 248.
Bridge replacements are listed for contract awarding over the next year in several areas, including over Missouri and Northern Arkansas Railroad on Business 65 in Hollister as well as over Beaver and Swann Creeks on Highway 160.
Traffic signals are slated to be replaced at Highway 76 and Main Street in Branson along with Highway 160 and Coy Boulevard in Forsyth.
Areas scheduled for paving resurfacing include Highway 65 between the Ozarks Mountain High Road and the Arkansas State Line, Highway 160 between Highways 13 and 65, Highway 248 between Highway 160 and Shepherd of the Hills Expressway in Branson, and Highway F between Highways 65 and 160.
Another project noted in the report is the adding of a bridge and a reconfiguration of access at the intersection of Highways 65 and 265.
