One Dies in Motorcycle Crash, One Person Injured with Vehicle Overturns

The Missouri State Highway Patrol works two traffic accidents Wednesday including one that ended with a fatality.

Details on the two accidents are below:

A motorcycle runs off the road near Kimberling City Wednesday afternoon killing the driver. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Report, a motorcycle driven by a 20-year-old man from Galena failed to negotiate a curve on Highway OO causing it to travel off the roadway and eject the driver. 

The man was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield where he died several hours later. 

This is the 69th fatality in crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2026. 

Meanwhile, a 62-year-old Branson woman escapes with only minor injuries after her car hydroplaned and overturned on a wet highway. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Report, the vehicle was traveling on Highway 76 east of Hollister around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon when it hydroplaned and went off the roadway overturning and striking a parked vehicle. 

The injured driver was treated at Cox Medical Center Branson.
