PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — Todd Blankenship of Nixa was found guilty of murdering his wife in Nixa in July 2019 by a Platte County jury on Wednesday, May 7.
After a trial that lasted nearly two weeks, the jury found Blankenship guilty of all four criminal counts. Blankenship was charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, third-degree domestic assault and fourth-degree domestic assault.
According to previous coverage from Ozarks First, on July 18, 2019, Nixa police responded to a check well-being call on South Timber Ridge. Officers entered the home and found a woman in the hallway with a gunshot wound to the head.
