A newspaper that has covered the Lakes Region for over 100 years has apparently published its last edition.
Several members of the staff of the Branson Tri-Lakes News reported on social media Thursday that they have been laid off and told that operations at the paper based in Hollister have ceased. One of the paper’s editors reached out to Ozarks Dynacom News to confirm that he had been laid off and that the paper was shutting down.
Ozarks First reports that several people who were making contact with the paper on Thursday, including State Representative Brian Seitz, found the doors locked.
Ozarks First reached out to the representatives of the paper’s owner, Lancaster Management, Inc. and said that they had no comment.
