Heat Advisory Expanded, Extended

The National Weather Service has expanded the Heat Advisory for all of the Lakes Region and extended it until the end of the week. 

The Lakes Region will see temperatures at or above 100 with Heat Index readings at 105 or higher. The Advisory now includes all Lakes Region Counties, including both the Branson and Harrison areas, through Friday. 

Officials continue to caution against strenuous outdoor activities during the day and suggest any outdoor work be done in the early morning or evening hours. 

Currently, no rain is in the forecast over the next seven days.
