The recently ousted Mayor of Forsyth has filed a lawsuit challenging that ouster.
A lawsuit was electronically filed in Taney County Circuit Court on June 27 by the attorney representing Julie Aubuchon, who was elected Mayor of Forsyth in April of 2025 but removed from office after an impeachment hearing in May.
Five articles of impeachment citing instances that she had created a hostile work environment and had failed to properly conduct herself in office submitted by the board which led to the final vote for her removal in office.
In the lawsuit submitted on June 27, Aubuchon claims their was a failure of due process, a lack of impartial tribunal, and lack of good cause for her removal from office.
Following Aubuchon's removal from office, the Forsyth Board of Aldermen, currently being presided by Board President Dennis Winzenried, announced applications would be taken for the Mayor's position until the end of June with the hopes of appointing a new mayor in July.
The complete lawsuit filed by Julie Aubuchon can be found on the Missouri Casenet Website.
