An event that has been a Lakes Region Staple for over 45 years will again light up the skies to celebrate American Independence.
The annual Fireburst Fireworks Celebration will take place Thursday with the fireworks to be visible from land around the Kimberling City Bridge plus from the waters of Table Rock Lake.
President/CEO of the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce Sheila Thomas, during a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program said that several years ago the decision was made to have the celebration prior to the 4th so people could take in multiple celebrations around the Lakes Region.
Thomas adds that folks wishing to attend the celebration, especially on land, should find their viewing spot early in the evening and should try an pick the area where they can make a right turn on Highway 13 to leave after the show to help with traffic flow.
Thomas says that donations and sponsorships pay for the shows and many individuals and businesses have been a part of Fireburst for years helping to keep the show going at a high level.
Thomas also talks about how the chamber has grown over her 12 years as president and other initiatives ongoing during the interview which can be heard below:
