One person is treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in Stone County.
According to a post on the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District Facebook page, fire units were dispatched to a two-story residential structure fire on DD Highway around 2:00 Saturday afternoon. As units arrived on the scene, the visible flames and smoke showing from the structure prompted a second alarm with units from Western Taney County also responding. Stone County Boat 6160 drafted water from Table Rock Lake at the Hidden Shores Boat Launch which then was sent to the scene.
According to the post, one person at the residence was treated for smoke inhalation and was taken to an area hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the fire is under investigation according to Public Information Officer Paul O'Neal.
