Jeffery “Jeff” Paul Denning, age 63, passed away January 3, 2026.
Jeffery “Jeff” Paul Denning, age 63, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on January 3, 2026. He entered this life on November 27, 1962, the son of Elwood Ray and Rose Marie (Curry) Denning in Taylorville, Illinois. Jeff was joined in marriage on May 28, 1981, to Rose Marie Vaughn.
Jeff was a dedicated family man who valued spending quality time with his loved ones, particularly his grandchildren. He enjoyed visiting the beach with his family. Jeff worked for many years as a handyman, demonstrating proficiency in various tasks including landscaping and a range of building and repair projects. As a member of Digging in Virginia (DIV), he enjoyed metal detecting searching for civil war relics. Jeff also managed the "Taylorville, Illinois, Now, Then, and Forever" Facebook page for several years, attracting over 13,000 followers. Additionally, he was skilled in the kitchen, notably preparing dishes such as brownies, spaghetti, and pasta salad, among others. The experiences and relationships created throughout Jeff’s life will be treasured by all who knew him.
Jeff is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Rose Denning of Branson, Missouri, and children: Jeremy Denning and wife, Amie of Kirbyville, Missouri; Zachery Denning and wife, Sarah of Nixa, Missouri; and Joshua Denning and significant other, Jennifer Swank of Kissee Mills, Missouri. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Devan (Makayla), Destiny, Arielle, Jasmine, and Gavin “Ray-Ray;” Samantha, Andrew, and Marissa; and Ava, Nadia, and Liam; brothers: Brad and Todd Denning, both of Taylorville, Illinois; as well as many other extended family members and D.I.V. friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Ronnie, Bruce, Jay, David, Lee, Joyce, and Sheila. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
