Harold Owen Hitchler, age 90, passed away on April 4, 2026.

Harold Owen Hitchler, age 90, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on April 4, 2026. He entered this life on December 22, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Harold and Angela (Roth) Hitchler. 

Harold had a deep appreciation for music, especially jazz and blues, which brought him great joy throughout his life. He loved playing the drums and spending time on the golf course, pursuits that reflected both his rhythm and his easygoing nature. Harold will be remembered and cherished forever.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Angela Hitchler; wife, Mary Ann Hitchler; son, Karl Hitchler; brother, Conrad Hitchler; brother-in-law, Jack Hayes; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Hitchler. Harold is survived by his daughter, Angela Gumminger of Branson Missouri; son, Eddy Hitchler of Branson, Missouri; eight grandchildren: Aaron (Jennifer) Hammerstrom, Brandon (Brandi) Hammerstrom, Nicholas Lara, Caleb (Julia) Wetherton, Tabitha Wetherton, Shaun Gumminger, Bobby (Courtni) Knowles, and Rachel Knowles; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and sister, Maxine Hayes.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
