Albert George Jones Jr., 77, passed away on December 7, 2025.
Albert George Jones Jr., 77, of Hollister, Missouri, was born on March 4, 1948, and passed away on December 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born to Albert Jones Sr. and Iona Bean-both of whom preceded him in death-Albert grew into a man known for his steady strength, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Albert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he served in the Vietnam War while stationed in Thailand. During this period of time, he was led to his first wife, Somjai Dang Sontiet, who preceded him in death. Somjai was the mother of his three daughters. This part of his life shaped his sense of duty, discipline, honor, and family. That same commitment carried through into every chapter that followed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Melissa Hinz. Albert leaves behind his loving children: Michelle (Kevin), Diana (Mark), Elizabeth, and Kenny, each of whom brought purpose and pride to his life. He is also survived by two sisters: Donna and Debbie whom he loved dearly— with one sister, Waneta, and one brother, Dennis, preceding him in death.
A devoted grandfather, Albert treasured his grandchildren: Breanna, Austin, Kamryn, Landon, Nicholas, Phillip, Brandon, Kyle, and Thomas. He was further blessed with eight great-grandchildren, with one great-grandchild preceding him in death.
Albert found peace and happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, tending to his garden, and spending time with family and friends. Those who knew him will remember his warm presence, his easy smile, and the way he made others feel welcome and valued.
Albert’s life was a testament to love, service, and quiet strength. His memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks for all the thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
