The rounds of showers and thunderstorms moving through the region proved a challenge, but most games were completed on the sixth day of the Cal Ripken Major 70 World Series at Ballparks of America.
The two regional teams in action yesterday got their games in. Hot Springs was eliminated, losing to Dover, NH 8-0 while Boonville, MO picked up their first win in the tournament, grabbing a 5-2 win over Cherry Hill, NJ. Dover will take on Arkansas's other entry, Bryant, in the next round of the tournament today.
After a day off Wednesday, Branson's opening game in the Iron Bracket Tournament is scheduled for tonight at 7:00 against Australia.
The tournament will continue in both the Championship and Iron Brackets through Saturday.
