Yancey: Desire to Serve Chamber, Community Led to Accepting Leadership Role

The new President/CEO of the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB said a love for the community and wanting to serve led her to take on this new role.

Pamela Yancey started in the new role on December 1st of last year after many years in a leadership role at Arvest Bank. 

During an interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, Yancey said her years as a member of the Chamber Board and seeing the work of the chamber a love of being involved in the community lead Yancey to put her name to become the new leader after the departure of Jason Outman in March of 2023. 

Yancey said she felt the relationships she created locally both through her position at Arvest Bank and through the chamber activities would give her the opportunity to help guide them into 2024.

Yancey said she has spent her first six weeks on the job has been to do a lot of listening and observing the innerworkings of the team at the chamber and to learn how the process works while also meeting with stakeholders and members to find out their input going forward.
