Woman Brings Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Another Woman Who Killed Her Son

A woman who is charged with murder in Lawrence County and also confessed to a murder in Carroll County is now facing a wrongful death lawsuit.

According to court documents recapped by Ozarks First, Taylor Santiago is being sued by the mother of the Missouri victim. Sandra Bethards is the mother of Troy Eugene Huffman, who Santiago shot and killed on January 25 of this year at an apartment in Aurora.

Santiago later confessed to that killing to the Aurora-Marionville Police Department then also confessed to two shootings in Eureka Springs killing one person and critically injuring another. Santiago is scheduled to be sentenced in the Missouri Shooting on June 10 while no official criminal charges have been filed against Santiago in Arkansas as of yet.
