All of the Lakes Region remains in a Winter Weather Advisory this morning as temperatures will fall rapidly with the first of two Artic Fronts moving through the region.
Temperatures will be in the low 20’s by noon with the chance of some light snow. Due to the overnight rain, some roads still wet might get slick due to a flash freeze as the temperatures will fall quickly.
Wind Advisories are in effect for this afternoon as wind gusts of 40-50 MPH will be possible with wind chills in the single digits.
Many area schools have already called off classes for today. The complete cancellation list can be found at Legends 1063 Dot FM.
After a dry but cold Saturday, another front comes in Sunday bringing colder air and more snow with several inches of accumulation expected in the Lakes Region with wind chills dropping to 10 to 20 below zero.
