UPDATE 4:30 Thursday: The entire Missouri Lakes Region is now under a Winter Weather Advisory through 9:00 this evening. Forecasters say there are chances of a wintry mix throughout the day. Also added to the advisory area are the higher elevations of Boone and Newton Counties in Arkansas.
Original Story
While most of the precipitation heading to the Lakes Region for Round Two of the Winter Weather will be rain, enough potential for freezing has led the National Weather Service to issue some Winter Weather Advisories.
In Missouri, the west of Branson including Barry and Stone Counties are under an advisory as are areas west of Harrison including Carroll and Madison Counties. The entire region could see some freezing precipitation in the form of drizzle, rain, sleet, and some light snow through the night and into Wednesday.
