While the severe thunderstorms that have moved through the Midwest have stayed away from the Lakes Region to this point, another opportunity for storms will take place this evening.
Areas north of a Branson-Kimberling City line are at a Slight Risk while the rest of the region is at a Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds the primary threats. Rain chances begin this evening and will become more widespread on Saturday.
Today will also continue the trend of hot and humid days with highs into the 90s and Heat Index Readings at 100 or higher.
