BRANSON, Mo. — The Western Taney County Fire Protection District is accepting applications for its Division Chief of Prevention position, according to a district Facebook post.
The district is looking for an experienced fire service professional to oversee commercial plan reviews, annual inspections and fire prevention programs. The role also supervises the Fire Marshal and participates in public education efforts.
The district covers more than 200 square miles around Branson, operates 13 stations and responds to roughly 3,000 calls a year with the help of more than 100 volunteers and 10 paid staff.
Applicants should have at least two years of plan review and inspection experience, along with fire service experience that includes two years at the rank of captain or higher. Required certifications include Firefighter I & II, Haz-Mat Awareness and Operations, Missouri EMT or Paramedic, Fire Inspector I, Fire Investigator and Fire Officer I.
