The National Weather Service has placed the Lakes Region under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for today.
The watch, which includes both the Branson and Harrison areas, is in effect until 6:00 this evening. Large hail up to golf ball size as well as 60-70 MPH wind gusts are possible with the storms. A few pop-up tornados are also possible with heavy rain poising a flash flood threat as well.
Some scattered storms have moved through the Ozarks this morning with a larger line of storms expected to impact the region this afternoon.
