A professor from Washington University in St. Louis is working on a book about Branson entertainment.
Joanna Das is a Professor in the Performing Arts Department and as part of her job, she is doing a research project on Branson entertainment from an academic and theater scholar standpoint.
During a visit to "The Barber Shop" program on Branson 4 U Dot Com, Daus says the book will focus primarily from the start of the theater industry in Branson in the earlier 60's to current day plus some background on some of the early influencers like Jim Owen that set the stage for the entertainment surge in the 60's and beyond.
Daus is in Branson this week seeing some shows and doing interviews for the book she hopes will be complete sometime next year.
