USDA Grant Helping Several Northern Arkansas Communities

The City of Harrison is one of the communities in the area that will benefit from a Federal Grant.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has awarded grants totaling $222 million to help improve community facilities. 

According to the USDA in a release posted by KTLO, the City of Harrison will get a grant in the amount of $37,000 to purchase a street department sweeper, 

Also receiving a grant from the USDA is the Jasper School District that will receive $9000 to purchase a walk-in cooler to support the provision of meals for rural students and the City of Marshall that will purchase a commercial mower through a $3000 grant. 

The USDA release also mentions projects being funded through grants in the City of Cotter as well as Fulton County in Northern Arkansas as well as the City of Granby in Southwest Missouri.
