After a weekend with near record high temperatures, more unsettled weather is due in the Lakes Region this week.
While some areas will see a slight chance of thunderstorms during the day on Monday, higher chances of storms are in the forecast for Tuesday. While most of the Lakes Region will see a slight risk of storms, areas of west central Missouri will have an enhanced risk with strong winds of 60 MPH the primary threat.
After the passage of the front, temperatures will return to seasonal norms after potential record-breaking 90 plus degree temperatures are possible for parts of Monday and Tuesday.
