Two Men from Monett Die in Separate Traffic Crashes

Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol work two separate fatality traffic crashes with both victims from the same city.

The two men who died were both from Monett, with the first crash occurring Friday afternoon west of Springfield on Highway 413 when a motorcycle driven by 46-year-old James King struck the side of another vehicle on the divided highway. King was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield where he died a couple of hours later.

The other crash occurred Saturday evening just before 11:00 on Highway 60 east of Neosho in Newton County, when a pick-up truck driven by 48-year-old Christopher Dibell travelled off the right side of the road with Dibell overcorrecting which caused the pick-up to overturn. Dibell was pronounced dead at the scene.
