One of the biggest days for tourism in Missouri is underway with the opening of the Catch and Keep Trout Season at the Trout Parks.
Locally, that means Roaring River State Park near Cassville is seeing thousands of anglers taking advantage of the season opener, a day so big that Cassville Schools are out when the season opener is on a weekday.
Morgan Williams, Director of the Cassville Chamber of Commerce, says in a recent interview on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program that many area businesses have their biggest days during the opening days of the season.
More information on the opening of trout season was discussed during recent editions of the “At Your Service” Podcast with members of the Missouri Department of Conservation. Those shows can be heard on the Branson Podcast Network.
