A statement on the group's website said a telephone poll was taking of residents in Baxter, Madison, Marion, Newton, and Searcy Counties to understand their feelings about the river. The group also posted a sheet on their website on how a National Park Designation would benefit the area.

On their Facebook Page, Remnants Project states the meeting will give area residents a chance to here more about the proposals and possible impacts to privately held lands and the watershed in the region.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday October 26 at the Carroll Electric Coop Building in Jasper.

More information on the meeting can be found on the Remnants Group Facebook Page with more information on the transition can be found on the Runway Group Website.
