A shift in winds has begun to bring temperatures up in the Lakes Region.
The shift occurred overnight, which began to raise temperatures with most areas into the low 20s as the sun rises. An Extreme Cold Warning does remain in effect for northern Arkansas this morning as wind chills are still below zero.
The high temperatures in the Lakes Region today will get into the mid to upper 30s with some 40-degree readings possible Wednesday and Thursday before another cool down over the weekend.
The sun on Monday combined with the continuing work of road crews helped clear many of the major roads and highways. ARDOT and MODOT are reporting most major roads mostly clear though some ice patches are possible during the morning commute.
