Further information has been released on the fire at the Taney County Transfer Station on Buchanan Road.
According to a post from the Western Taney County Fire Protection District, crews got the call around 7:20 Monday evening and upon arrival, found a building housing three semi-trucks that are used to haul trash to the landfills on fire. All the trucks, full of trash, along with two other trailers and the building itself was fully involved. It took about 40 minutes to extinguish the blaze while firefighters remained on the scene until around 11:00 pm.
Additional reporting from Ozarks First indicates that one firefighter did sustain some minor injuries battling the blaze. The building, trailers, and trucks were all total losses with other areas of the transfer station also receiving damage according to the Ozarks First Report.
