Taney County Sheriff's Office employees took part in a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center program that gave focus to making several officers active shooter threat instructors, according to a Facebook post.

"Members of the Taney County Sheriff’s Office participated last week in a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) accredited course hosted by the Stone County Sheriff’s Office. The week long training provided and focused on certifying multiple Law Enforcement Officers as Active Shooter Threat Instructors. The course hosted agencies from multiple jurisdictions to include out of state agencies. The new instructors will bring a high level of experience and training back to their respective agencies."
