Storm Causes Power Outages, Leads to Cooler Weather

A couple of rounds of storms rolled through the Lakes Region Tuesday night into the early Wednesday morning hours.

The National Weather Service issued several advisories and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings as the storms moved through.
Early reports to the weather service come from Barry County where several tree branches were reported as being snapped due to the high winds. A tree limb is also reported down on a house in the Ava area of Douglas County.

Several power outages are reported in the region. Liberty is reporting around 20 outages along Highway 248/Shepherd of the Hills Expressway west of Highway 65 as well as a few still without power in Forsyth. Power outages are still being repaired by Carroll Electric Cooperative in Barry, Carroll, and Madison Counties with White River working outages in Ozark County. Entergy is reporting several outages as well in both the Berryville and Harrison areas as well as in Marion County.

Storms will make way for sunshine and cooler temperatures with highs expected in the 80s.
