One person is dead and another hospitalized in an apparent murder-suicide attempt in Stone County.
According to a Facebook post from the Stone County Sheriff's Office, deputies along with the Reeds Spring Police Department were dispatched to downtown Reeds Spring during the noon hour Monday for a report of a man running around covered in blood. Officers eventually located the 19-year-old man in an apartment across from the Reeds Spring Post Office. A deceased 19-year-old female was also discovered by officers.
The male had life threatening self inflicted wounds and was taken to an area hospital and treated and is expected to survive according to the release.
Stone County Detectives are continuing the investigation on what appears to be a homicide and attempted suicide.
The name of the male suspect and the deceased female have not been released.
