The furriest deputy with the Stone County Sheriff’s Office is being credited with helping bring to an end a standoff between deputies and a barricaded suspect.
The Stone County Sheriff’s Office had been searching for Logan Christopher Murphy, who had escaped from deputies as they attempted to arrest him twice on an active felony warrant. Deputies had been given information he was hiding at a residence within the county on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
When deputies arrived at the location, they announced themselves, and eventually two men and one woman, Cassie Frieze, came outside the home. Frieze denied Murphy was inside the home, while the two men told deputies he was hiding inside.
