A man impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer encounters real Police Officers and now is behind bars.
Court documents indicate Jerold Juaire of Springfield is being held without bond after claiming he was a Federal Officer while in Branson this past weekend. According to the Probable Cause Statement, Juaire encountered Branson Police Officers at a business on Saturday and claimed he was in search of a male suspect who had stabbed someone. Juaire was wearing a badge saying he was a USDA supporter, which stands for United States Deputy Sheriff's Association. Juaire later stated that he wore the badge so people would think he is a cop and not bother him.
Juaire is charged with a Class A Misdemeanor and is also being held on an Outstanding Warrant for Assault out of Springfield.
