Silver Dollar City Partners With Hiland Dairy for new Chilly Treat

Lovers of Silver Dollar City and ice cream are in for a treat, quite literally.

Hiland Dairy announced its new ice cream flavor on Wednesday, one inspired by Silver Dollar City's new and updated Fire in the Hole indoor rollercoaster that's set to open in the spring. According to a press release from the dairy, the flavor "is a delectable creation that pays homage to the rich history of the Ozarks." Anyone who likes marshmallows and more in their ice cream may enjoy the new product.

"This thrilling new treat features creamy marshmallow-flavored ice cream, luxurious chocolate ribbons, and crunchy graham cracker pieces reminiscent of a classic s’more. Inspired by the legendary night when Baldknobbers lit up the mining town of Marmaros, Fire in The Hole ice cream captures the essence of that historical event."

The flavor is almost like a ride for the taste buds. The press release states that just like "the roller coaster puts riders in the shoes of the heroic townsfolk battling the blaze, this indulgent ice cream takes taste buds on a journey through time. It blends nostalgia with irresistible flavors, celebrating the spirit of the Ozarks."

While reading this may excite those taste buds, they aren't the only ones excited. The diary's Marketing Manager Sarah Carey expressed the feelings around the partnership with Silver Dollar City, specifically centered on the opportunity "to bring the magic of the Fire in The Hole roller coaster to our customers through our Fire in The Hole ice cream."

"Everyone loves the classic taste of s'mores, and this ice cream captures that flavor perfectly,” Carey said. The creamy treat isn't the first to come from the partnership between Hiland and the Branson park.

According to the previously mentioned press release, the same partnership launched three flavors of ice cream. It also explains that anyone eager to indulge in the chilly treat won't have to wait long.

"Hiland’s Fire in The Hole ice cream is set to debut at retailers in April, with exclusive tastings at the theme park’s Hannah’s Ice Cream Shop on opening day, March 9."
