Shoreline Work Scheduled on Bull Shoals, Norfork Lakes

Landowners on two area lakes should expect to see maintenance crews on their land over the next few weeks.

According to a release from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock office, landowners should see the contract crews along a 115-mile section of the government boundary on Bull Shoals Lake from Music Creek in Marion County east to the Bull Shoals Dam as well as along a 60-mile section of Norfork Lake from the Bennett's Bayou area in Baxter County going north into Missouri to the Tecumseh area in Ozark County.

Express Forestry Service, LLC is under contract from the corps for the work which is designed to reestablish the existing USACE Boundary Lines. According to the release, the work will include locating survey monuments, clearing brush along the boundary line on the public land side, replacing and painting line posts and painting trees between the survey monuments to serve as reference points.

The release also says any encroachments and trespasses onto public property will be documented for the corps to review.

The release alerts landowners and the public that they will see maintenance crews and corps personnel in these areas during the work.
