UPDATE: A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 9:00 am for these counties in the Lakes Region. In Missouri, Barry, Stone, and Taney including the Branson area. In Arkansas, Carroll and Madison. The watch includes Beaver and Table Rock Lakes along with Lake Taneycomo and the western sections of Bull Shoals Lake.
A line of thunderstorms are expected to make its way through the Lakes Region this evening.
The National Weather Service says storms should move through the region from the northwest after 7:00 pm. Even though storms may decrease in strength from earlier in the day, damaging winds of 60 MPH or more plus hail up to quarter size is possible. The area is at a Level 2 or Slight Risk of Storms.
After a break on Friday, showers will return on Saturday with heavy rain possible. Isolated severe storms are also possible during the day.
Precipitation will end on Sunday with cooler temperatures to start the week with highs in the mid to upper 70s on Monday.
