Several Lakes Region Schools are part of a new conference announced last week.
According to a release from the Galena and Niangua School Districts, eight schools will compete in the newly formed James River Valley Conference. Galena and fellow Southwest Central League Member Blue Eye will join several K-12 Schools that have been a part of the Mark Twain Conference including Bradleyville, Hurley, and School of the Ozarks in the new conference. Chadwick and Everton round out the K-12 Schools in the new conference while K-8 School Kirbyville will also be a part of the conference.
The conference is expected to begin competition with the upcoming 26-27 school year according to a release. A copy of that release has been posted on the Blue Eye School Facebook Page.
