Sanders Appoints Replacements of Lakes Region Quorum Courts

In a release last week, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announces appointees to fill vacancies for Quorum Courts in 10 counties including two in the Lakes Region. 

David Blakenship of Eureka Springs will fill the unexpired term of Jackie Deaton as Justice of the Peace for District 1 in Carroll County with the term to expire on December 31, 2026. Deaton retired from the Carroll County Court in March before moving out of the district. 

Meanwhile, Tarance DePriest of Marshall will serve as Justice of the Peace for District 4 in Searcy County fulfilling the unexpired term of Danny Loggins who passed away in March at the age of 78.
