The full release below is from the Branson Police Department:
It is with heavy hearts that we share that, due to significant health issues, retired K9 Tygo will be peacefully euthanized tomorrow, surrounded by his loving family and former BPD partners. K9 Tygo served the Branson Police Department and our community with incredible loyalty, courage, and heart. His dedication and spirit made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
To the community who supported Tygo throughout his service, we invite you to join us as we lay him to rest and honor his life during a graveside service on December 30 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rivermonte K9 Cemetery, 4500 S Lone Pine.
We are deeply grateful for K9 Tygo's service and the bond he shared with his handlers, Officer Hirahara and Officer Gamble, as well as the love and support shown by our community. Thank you for standing with us as we say farewell to a true hero.
