As summer is set to begin on Sunday, the Lakes Region remains in a rainy spring-like pattern.
The National Weather Service says rain chances will be slight for today but will increase through the weekend with the heaviest rainfall forecast for Sunday night into Monday. Forecasts say some areas of the Lakes Region could see one to two inches of rain. A Flood Watch has been issued for the Missouri Ozarks for early Sunday morning until Sunrise on Monday.
Severe storms are possible, especially on Sunday with the Lakes Region at a Slight Risk for storms that could contain large hail and strong winds in addition to heavy rain.
