The National Weather Service has received no reports of damage in the Lakes Region with the series of storms that moved through early this morning.
Although forecasters warmed of a severe potential, no severe weather alerts were posted for the Lakes Region though a Severe Thunderstorm Watch was in effect. There were two brief Tornado Warnings issued in the Springfield area based on potential rotation detected by radar but no reports of tornado formation have been made.
The area has received much needed rainfall this morning which will continue for a few hours before skies clear.
The front will cool things down which will lead to a chilly Easter Morning. Temperatures will drop to the upper 30s and low 40s overnight. Highs will get into the 60s on Sunday before returning to the 70s by Monday.
