🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨
The Branson Police Department has received reports of scammers pretending to be us, asking for money or donations. Don't be fooled!
Here are four signs it's a scam:
🔹Impersonation: Scammers pose as trusted organizations, often faking caller IDs.
🔹Urgency: They claim there's a problem or prize.
🔹Pressure: They push you to act fast.
🔹Payment Demands: They request payment in specific, unusual ways.
Remember:
🔹We never solicit donations or payments over the phone.
🔹Law enforcement won’t contact you by phone for traffic violations or warrants.
🔹Never share personal info unless you initiated the contact.
If in doubt, hang up and call 9-1-1 to verify the call. Keep track of any suspicious details and report them to us! Stay safe!
