The Heavy Rains that moved through the Lakes Region on Wednesday caused damage to a shopping center in the Lakes Region.
The roof of one of the units in the Kimberling City Shopping Center collapsed during the storms that moved through the region. According to a post on the Kimberling City Police Departments Facebook Page, several other units also were damaged and were closed due to the rains.
The Post goes on to say that The Taco Lady Restaurant, occupying one of the adjoining units, will be back in business as soon as the structural engineer inspects the building and deems it safe.
Some areas of the center remain off-limits due to safety concerns but most of the other businesses currently in the shopping center are open.
