The Missouri Department of Transportation issues a release about a road closure to part of the Ozark Mountain High Road beginning next week.
MODOT has contracted with Emery Sapp and Sons Inc. of Springfield for an $850,000 rehabilitation of the Missouri Highway 76/Ozark Mountain High Road Bridges over the MNA Railroad. The work will result in closures to the High Road between the 376 and 248 interchanges over the next eight to nine months.
The first closure begins next week with 76 eastbound to be closed for around 100 days. MODOT will have signed detours to navigate the construction. Westbound 76 between 248 and 376 will remain open during this time.
The next phase of the project will shift to the westbound bridge beginning in January of 2025 at which time westbound 76 between 248 and 376 will be closed.
The projected completion of the bridge work is in May of 2025.
