Two people with connections in the Ozarks, one from Missouri and one from Arkansas, have recently finished at or near the top of competition shows.
On the Missouri side, Willow Springs native Hannah Harper claimed the top spot in the American Idol competition show airing on ABC. Harper was the last one standing after weeks of competition including the finale featuring the top three finalist that aired on Monday night.
Meanwhile, an area resident from Arkansas finished second on a reality show that was produced in Canada. Kaleb Moon of Lead Hill competed on the Netflix show "Million Dollar Secret" which has contests try to guess which in the group has been awarded $1 million prize. Moon made it to the finals but fell short of winning the grand prize.
