On November 8, voters in Ozark will decide whether or not to approve a Use Tax dedicated to public safety.
The 2.375 percent tax would go towards three items deemed necessary by the Ozark Police Department: adding more officers, and police cars, and building a new headquarters.
Ozark Mayor Bradley Jackson tells Ozarks First that the tax is charged for people buying online from out of state vendors and does not apply to buying from vendors in state or buying from brick-and-mortar businesses inside the city.
More on the story can be found on the Ozarks First Website.
