OZARK, Mo. — The City of Ozark announced Tuesday that they have secured a nearly $2 million grant for infrastructure improvements from the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The city says the grant funds will be used to extend and connect 17th and 18th Streets east of Highway 65, which they say will improve transportation connectivity and infrastructure for those using the planned Chadwick Flyer regional trail system.
“We are thrilled with the announcement from DED and see the award in grant funds as validation of our local and regional transportation planning efforts which have long identified transportation access in this area as a key strategic priority,” said City Administrator Eric Johnson.
