The death of a woman in Ozark last week is being investigated as a homicide.
According to court documents Derrick Alling of Ozark is being charged with 1st-Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action in the death of a woman last week.
According to a report from Ozarks First, Christian County Sheriff Brad Cole confirmed the victim was Alling’s mother. The report adds that deputies were called to a residence on Highway W last Thursday for a well-being check and found Alling there who told officers his mother was in a guest house where they found her deceased and found a gardening tool with blood on it nearby.
Alling is being held without bond in the Christian County Jail.
