An Ozark County woman has been arrested for allegedly riding her bicycle on a busy highway while being intoxicated and then picked up drug charges while being booked into jail.
According to a Facebook post from the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was dispatched Thursday to the area of U.S. Highway 160 and Missouri Route HH for a report of a woman riding a bicycle on the highway while appearing drunk. The caller said the rider, later identified as Autumn Dulaney of Isabella, had a close call with passing traffic.
The deputy says Dulaney showed multiple signs of being intoxicated, and to ensure her wellbeing, he arrested her for a safety hold.
During the booking process, a glass smoking device was found in Dulaney’s pocket which tested positive for methamphetamine.
Dulaney is currently free on bond.
