A single vehicle crash east of Kirbyville on Highway 76 results in one fatality and one injury.
According to the report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:00 Wednesday evening when the driver of a Jeep going eastbound failed to negotiate a curve traveling off the road and striking a sign before overturning.
The driver, a 30-year-old man from Kirbyville, was taken to Cox Medical Center in Branson was he was later pronounced dead while a 37-year-old female passenger in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
This is the 53rd fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the MSHP in 2025.
