A motorcycle vs. pick-up truck crash in Taney County has killed a man from Arkansas.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Accident report, the crash occurred around 11:45 Tuesday morning when the motorcycle driven by 34-year-old James Fryer of Omaha failed to negotiate a curve on Highway 248 near Sycamore Church Road crossing the centerline and drove into the path of the pick-up driven by 40-year-old Randall Franks of Hollister.
Fryer was pronounced dead at the scene while Franks was not injured in the crash.
This is the 84th fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2022.
